I agree, if the OEM ones lasted a long time and work well, why reinvent the wheel? The only thing I have to add is that in snow country, special winter blades with the whole blade encased in rubber can be good. I go to Mammoth and Tahoe with my truck in the winter and if you don’t raise your blades while parked during storms, it doesn’t matter what you have. They will be frozen to the glass.

Lastly, wiper blades can often be renewed with a simple cleaning with vinegar or strong soap, like Windex. Sometimes it’s just a buildup of dirt and pollution on them and they come back like new. Use a paper towel because it will turn black as the dead rubber and schmutz comes off. Just keeping your vehicle clean, (or at least the glass), will go a long way to keeping the wipers effective.
