I originally gave Bodhi to my ex as a gift because she was so taken with the pup I had gotten (Zeke). Turns out her older dog didn't like Bodhi, but she liked Zeke, so we traded. Her dog had a scratched cornea, so I had both for a while, and when she moved, she left Zeke with me. Bodhi was especially affectionate and would lay on my chest and lick my face for several years. When he wanted something, he would moan. For the first few years, he would sleep between my arm and my body, then later alongside me. He was always healthy, but went progressively deaf and blind, but it wasn't really a problem. Towards the end he slept a lot, but he lasted past 18 years old. I feel like I got a full stretch out of him and had no regrets. He passed about a year ago.
