Yep, deviled eggs are quick and easy. I'm not sure that I'd classify them as a winter snack since they are usually eaten chilled. But hell, I've got ice cream in the fridge, so what do I know.

Mmm, I love a grilled cheese, but I'd never had it with bacon. That sounds delicious!
I've had all sorts over the years, starting with velveeta and american slices when I was a kid in the 70s. I've had cheddar, colby, etc....
I think my favorite cheeses for grilled cheese are "butterkase" (I had one great one for several years, but can't get it any more and have only found one other (boars head) that's not as good as the other. And my other favorite is another cheese that's not super common, huntsman. Huntsman is like a layer cake made of cheese. It's layers of stilton in between red leicester. It's a much stronger, more pungent sort of cheese.
But I've never had a grilled cheese that I didn't like. Probably my least favorite would be made using American slices.
