A FG is not taking the ball out of the offense’s hands, it’s putting points on the board, especially when you’re protecting a 2 score lead, 1 of the 2 FG makes it a 3 score lead.
If roles were reversed, yes, take the risk because 7 gets you even sooner than 3 but not with the lead.
Also, the analytics include conversions against s*** teams. Not only the #1 seed in the NFC.
