I have those IDTs off of a '69 T on my 3.0 9.8-1 cr GT-2 cammed motor. Not a problem.

Use the guide posted above. The only issue that may arise is the idle air jet may need to be adjusted. Yes the transition ports are different, but that can be dealt with if your transition from idle to main gives you a flat spot. I drilled mine out, probably shouldn't have.

BTW, Paul Abbit, aka 1quickS, offers a service that will rebuild Webers to IDA spec.

ALSO, do yourself a favor and invest in an Air Fuel Meter. That is the ONLY way to correctly set up these carbs.
