Recently I had the pleasure of waiting in a supermarket line behind a giant balloon butt in neon spandex.
Her six foot tall sixteen yo daughter was curled up inside the tiny cart, glued to a phone, staying very very quiet.
The computers for self-checkout were down so the entire store funneled into two long lines.
Some people walked out with their kids and groceries.
The redhead cashier was having trouble scanning the QR code on this woman's phone while working the screen.
Woman was doing some sort of grocery delivery.
Meanwhile she was talking at the cashier, continuously, in a low growling voice which I didn't hear.
(There was an extended line behind us)
Eventually two other employees came over and fixed the problem.
10 out of the 15 minutes which I spent in that damn lane next to the belt was this woman muttering "cashier disrespectful" "rude" "manager" "not moving".
That type of personality is not needed in the airline industry:
A). ATC traffic control doesn't need to "prove herself correct" as to the internet definition of "Short leg final" and berate a pilot while he's flying precisely to the ground and working ten different systems.
B). And if she thinks a heavy jumbo is going to cut leg turns like a little GA Cessna, she is completely out of touch with reality.
