With the forecast, the boss's wife insisted we go to the grocery store today "before the rush" and get some stuff. We normally go on Sunday mornings after breakfast at our regular breakfast place. As regulars, they know to bring me a glass of water, and a cup of black coffee. My wife gets a diet coke automatically. We don't get menus as they are unneeded. And all the staff know I am a good tipper, so we get great service, and lots of chatting with the staff. Almost all the wait staff will stop by and chat just a little as they pour refills on drinks.
It is not quite like Cheers with everyone yelling Norm, but close. It looks like we may miss breakfast this Sunday due to crappy weather.
We do have a Saturday breakfast with the local Porsche club.
