Another YT channel that perked my curiosity was WhistlinDiesel
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdqp0KK_Io7TwK5cJMBvB0Q.
He first comes across as a young spoiled redneck kid, with way too much money, and not enough brains, but there is something more to it. The format has a combo of traveling and exploring the outdoors all over the world, friends working together and big projects, a few heaping tablespoons of recklessness, and a bit of practical
"oh **** we need to get this done now."
-That channel is similar to the Jackass series combo from the 90's appealing to wild kids (the international Cannonball Run in particular)
-Or the Top Gear standard mix format of luxury car reviews, doing dumb things with them, jokes, celebrities, travel, etc.
I suspect, but may be wrong, that you don't want to parallel those and do something different.
Of all the entertainment angles there seems to be themes:
1). A puzzle for the viewer to figure out.
The tv drama series or mystery dropping hints on what is going to happen next. Random plot twists to reset the path. It's usually off balance. Keep watching for every every nuance and hint. A+ there if you figured it out. Makes them feel smart at the end.
2). A puzzle being solved before your eyes.
The tech show with step-by-step on how to do it. Product reviews. Rambo defeating the entire Soviet Army alone. Worst case it can delve into late night infomercial territory drone. Sometimes real-life informative and it's a dependable train which you know will reach a destination. Good things are known and guaranteed at the end.
3). A puzzle already solved.
It has already been created and we are all here to explore and enjoy it. Documentaries. History channel. The viewer is in the midst of the chat across the table or fixing a problem with friends. Expand and explore what is existing. Casual and relaxing.
Or any combo of the above. IDK. Random thoughts here.
