Karl, that is an interesting setup. I didn't realize the injector will fire when this is done. I guess the fact that there's not vacuum does not keep the fuel from flowing? Regarding the video I never even noticed they sent the regulator and damper out to be tested. To the best of my knowledge mine work fine but they are over 35 years old. I don't have any data to show they should be failing soon or not. I have found both the regulartor and damper from Standard Motor Products which have been used by others successfully. I may just buy them as a backup and send mine out to be tested. I know they can be changed with the engine in the car but since my engine is out it would be nice to change them IF they need to be changed.
