With the center console, AC and central locking and the stereo fader, it is a chore. I have it all out, the new bushing installed. It better be orgasmic for shifting after all that work.
The old shift knob was on there and impossible to remove without destruction of the knob. And I still had to Dremel off the crush sleeve. I wanted to remove the leather gator, and do some touch up on the leather "while I was in there" and it looks better. I had bought a Dave Mason shift knob years ago, but I could not use it as I could not get the old knob off.
The shifter is back in p[lace, and bolted down. That is where I quit. I still have to put the center console back on. The seat back in, and the steering wheel back on. Maybe another full day of work will get me back on the ground and driving.
