I don't particularly want a car where I have to wrench on it more that I drive it. Ofcourse, that's just me.
And then to find out my car is #2 on the worst Porsche car list.
We all know the mechanical problems of the 2.7...but most of those problems have been fixed by owners, or the car sent to a crusher. I'm not saying I'd dump my 911S for a 74-77 model, but I am saying those years are a good, and inexpensive base for building one hell of a hot rod 911! If reliability is the goal? Slip in an SC engine...that shouldn't stress any other system in the 2.7 cars, and the SC engines are probably the longest living less troublesome engine Porsche has ever built. If cubic inches hot rodding is the goal, the 74-77 models can accept the transplants we've all read about as well as the early cars. So, f2p? If you like the looks of your car? Think about this before you confine it to a scrap heap. Hell, I once read a column written by a Brit magazine writer that miffed me...the column slammed the 2.4 S cars as "wannabe" RS's, therefore always playing 2nd fiddle. OPINIONS are like belly buttons...everybody has one, or more.
