I thought the same exact thing!
A friend of mines son just finished at Berklee. He is such a talent. He was a freshman when my son was a senior in HS and they played together in the schools Jazz ban.
I am not a musician but the level of his play just jumped off the stage immediately.
To Bob Marley.
'Exodus' was a revelation to me. In 1980 I did my one and only rafting trip as a boatman on the Grand Canyon, 12 days. In those days, you had to row a baggage boat or get instruction with another guide before you could take people down the river.
12 days. The Canyon, btw, is not one gigantic rapid: There are very long quiescent periods and the wind can make oaring a baggage boat a chore. I was a very experienced boatman and kayaker but the Canyon was on my list so baggage boat it was.
I had a Walkman cassette player and would, since I was last in line, listen to music on the long oar tugs. 'Exodus', 'Somebody Loan Me a Dime' and others got worn out.
Thanks for the memory.
