I haven't had a cold in years. I can't remember when. I haven't had the flu, RSV or Covid either, both of which seem new to me. Colds have been around forever, I guess. We still wear masks at stores and wipe down everything we buy with anti germ wipes. I try not to shake hands and always reach for the underside of the left handle on double doors. I'll use my shirt tail on knobs and handles. Not too many knobs besides residential these days due to ADA requirements. I can open a lever with my knee if my arms are full. I carry wipes in all the cars.
If I want a cold all I have to do is get wet in the cold and not get warm and dry soon enough. I learned to not do that ever.
