My Klipsch ported self-powered subwoofer has a cross-over setting that I'm trying to set right.
It's used almost entirely for streaming movies and some cable tv. I have the cross-over set now at 100 hz and the gain is about a 2 out of 10 (hardly up at all)
The bass is still a little too boomy. Should I just lower the gain? Or is my cross-over set wrong?
The phase is set at 0

I wish I could answer your question specifically but subwoofers are too much in a home setting for me. It would be nice if you could alter the frequency, not just the crossover. 50 Hz is always going to 'boom'. It would be interesting if the range could be changed to 100 to 200 Hz and then set the volume.
