Isn't the rational that acre for acre, farming uses more water that people? I was also not buying it until that came up.
Still boggles my mind that they flood irrigate lawns in the city and it' snot at all unusual to see sprinkler systems going in the hottest part of the day.

Btw, there’s a Central Arizona Project, or CAP Canal, about 500 yards from by place. That’s not for here, it feeds the Dirty T…., I mean, Tucson. 😉
