It looks to be an R wagon. I have a 2006.
The seller obviously doesn't know what it is exactly. 3K is cheap, but you could easily spend that much or more getting it sorted. The 05 with the automatic transmission is actually a 5 speed. Again, these cars can be expensive to sort out. Suspension/ Shocks are costly and often times the AWD is not working (angle gear) But the engines are pretty stout, if maintained and not overly modified.
All that being said, I love mine.
