Dropped my my engine and trans (84 Targa as well) for the first time several years ago….and did dozens of things over the 3 months it was out.

Incredible a mount of posts/information here in the forum. Two examples include drawings to make a great wooden engine “cradle” platform for your jack or hydraulic table, + an actual engine/trans drop check-list of the steps of what needs to be done and sequence for doing them.

Don’t forget to take the obligatory standing in the engine bay pic… when’s its out!
