A bit of a tangent...but anybody here ever used an auxiliary air tank in tandem with a compressor to achieve higher CFM's?

I've got a 30 Gal/175 PSI (Huskey) unit from H.D., which is fine for most of my uses (nail guns for home projects, etc.)...but very underwhelming for what I'd hoped would be a decent amount of air for engine (and other parts) cleaning using baking soda. Nope...and what a mess!

At any rate...I've heard of hooking up a relatively inexpensive aux. air tank for a bit of extra "oomph." Anyone tried this?
