To replace the glass and seal/aluminum trim I used 14ga automotive electrical wire as a "cord", starting at the top of the vertical section, wrapping down around the periphery of the seal, overlapping the vertical section and finishing at the bottom. Worked well with me on the inside and a helper on the outside maintaining position and some pressure.

Never had leaks, the glass was removed as a precaution while working on something else.

Seems the guys that took out and re-fitted my window made a real hotch-potch of it. I'm going to use a thin bead of butyl rubber around the edge of the glass (as with the front 'vent' glass) though.
