LOL! Here in the Houston area, lane changing is weird for a lot of folks. They will put on a signal, and whether you're next to them, or getting ready to pass them or whatever, if they put their signal on and start to move over slowly, the expectation is that you'll let them in no matter what. When I want to change lanes, I look for someplace that I can fit and I go there. I may speed up or slow down or wait a while. But that's not how it works around here, at least not for a lot of folks. I think they figure, "I'll put my signal on and move over slowly and everyone else will slow down or move over to let me in."
