Well, if any of you want one, I have an '00 with 63,000M, 2.7 5-speed which is a peach. Guards red over black. It's for sale at a decent price. I've been waiting for the weather to get better across the country before listing on BAT.
AFA my comments go, I too do not find it comfortable and I'm 6' long legged. Head room is generous. The 987 is longer and I wish. But there are a few years difference and price difference.
All the positive comments I agree with. The 2.7 is enough to have plenty of fun and the base model rides a little better. But they are sports car stiff. So for street use, it's a better choice IMO. I wouldn't know how much better a 3.2 with 1" bigger brakes is. If you gotta have the badge, you gotta have the badge.
We had a lot of fun (we meaning my wife mainly). She is ill and the car has been sitting with semi regular use for 5 years. It needs fluids changed and and the tires aged out although they are high rubber. That's it. I do have a PPI.
But this is about the Boxster. As a fun car with great AC and general amenities, if you're not into the bashing thing about chick cars, these are a great testament to Porsche. There's a reason they sold a bazillion of them.
