Something to mention about a Base unit and an S optioned manual transmissions.
5 speed or 6.
Exception is a Base model with Sports/Chrono option.
My Cayman is a Base with it. 6 speeds and the sport/firm selectable ride is awesome.
So a Base model can still be fun, though I admit I'd really like to replace it with an S.
During a Track day getting waved onto the Hot Course. I was behind a Cayman S, setup very similar to mine. He was let on the track which is at the start of a long straightaway. I left 5-8 seconds later and really tried to catch him.........no way, he was already at the end of the straight as I was beginning and he pulled away from thereafter.
Still I really love my Cayman, you don't see a Blue Porsche very often but lots of Silver Black and Red ones.
