Very cool thread! My wife is from Kumamoto in Kyushu. We go back every year to visit her family. It is an amazing culture. Seriously thinking about living there at some point. It is super safe and people treat each other with common courtesy & respect. Not like living in LA.

The only issue is spending a fortune to keep my classic cars on the road over there. The yearly inspection for 10+ year old cars over there is daunting and expensive! But it's a cheap price to pay for the quality of life.
