Fedex finally brought enough of my order that I could get to work making skidplates...
I feel like a dog who finally caught his tail... the response to the skid plates has been really good, and now I have some catching up to do. There's only one mold, and the cure time is a bit of a bottleneck. So one part in a 24 hour period is the best I can do.
Carbon/kevlar!
Doing a vacuum drop test. This is really interesting, as the vacuum becomes greater the gauge shows you the boiling point of water at that vacuum. When you get around ambient the draw down slows as whatever moisture in your materials boils out. It can look like a leak if you aren't paying attention. Or if you don't have a fancy digital gauge... this has been a lifesaver.
Infusing the part!
In the oven:
Checking temp of part to make sure circulation fans are turned up high enough. Looks good!
Quite a few more to go...
