Freeze yer credit at all three agencies folks .... the monitoring "after the fact" is mostly to generate cash (profits) and make folks think better about it ... nothing more imo.

With so many big corporations hacked, AT&T, Microsoft, Apple, the IRS, the CIA, and even the FBI, yea there is no way your information is not "out there" already. Recently my health provider was hacked.
My credit is frozen, and I watch my bank, credit union, and credit card transactions almost daily as I download them to my desktop Quicken. I use QuickBooks for my business accounts. They are pushing had to get people to use the on-line version, not gonna do it.
I have never been hacked! I have never had a computer virus. I have redundant backups of my data.
