Both my power windows in my 82SC became slower and slower. Then I couldn't operate the passenger's side window from its switch in the driver's door.
I tried the obvious first line of attack: I took both switches out of the driver's door and blasted them with contact cleaner while operating the rocker action of the switch. Re-installed the switches and my windows work fine and fast now.
Sometimes you get lucky with the easy fix.
