I have a polycarbonate cover comprised of panels. I took care to not over tighten the screws with the built in gasket. That's an art in itself.

I also drilled oversized holes for expansion. I learned the hard way on that. Yeah, it creaks when the sun hits it.

I hope yours settles down. You might go find a construction forum or roofing forum and just read.
