Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

The columns are 4 x 6 so I took a 2 x 6 and routed out the back side so they fit the over the connector plate and bolt heads. First one took quite awhile to fit tight. The other three went much faster. I used Liquid Nails/screws/caulk/paint. I held them off the ground about an 1/8".
Oooooooohh, that looks nice. We have four posts in the front that would improve the esthetics dramatically.
