That still penalizes goof ups but takes a lot of the danger out of pitting. There is no excuse for a loose wheel nut. I don't know what to say about F1 and 2 seconds. The strategy aspect is still there if it took a minute.

Interesting perspective. I don’t agree, but to each his own. I like the pressure on the crews and the drivers to be efficient and effective. The better crews give their drivers an advantage. Conversely, bad stops may not be able to be overcome on track.
