The 6.1L DOHC V12 and its derivatives would not only power the fastest road car in the world at the time (still is the fastest road car powered by a naturally aspirated engine), but will also shine in motorsports powering the F1 GTR GT Championship and BMW V12 LMR endurance racecars with a total of 45 race wins including two 24Hrs of Le Mans overall titles.
