Whether autoheat or manual heat, the issue is probably with the flaps not fully open when heat is off, at least the right hand flap. So part of the heat that is supposed to be sent to the road underneath when heat is off still goes into the cabin. Hence the girl's right foot on fire. At least the cable on right hand side needs to be adjusted so the flap is fully open when heat is shut off.
