The red horizontal sliding lever directs the heat either up to the defrost or down to the footwells at either end. You can split the heat by moving the red lever between full left or full right.
Heat will only come out if the red levers in between the seats are pulled up. Each lever controls its own side, driver or passenger.
If, and only if, one of the red levers between the seats is up, the. The rotary red dial behind the red levers will be armed and can boost the heat.
