Garage
Parking button won’t release

Purchased a ‘90S2 Cab 30 days ago and had a slight issue with the parking brake button sticking when pulled to a higher position. Had the car gone thru by my mechanic (very reputable) and identified that all my brakes needed replaced, 2 weeks ago, to pass inspection.

Drove the car a little over last 2 weeks and yesterday came home and put the brake on but had to pull it up all the way for it to hold on the sloped driveway. Well, when I went to put it in the garage, the brake button would not depress. Even used clamps to try to depress and it wouldn’t. Was able to drive to garage with brake on anyway, stalled when I got it in.

Is there a way to release the button a different way? Or do I have to jack it up, remove wheels and rotor to release the brake? If so, how do I do that? Checked Clark’s but nothing related to that issue. Thanks.
