I would remove the switch, and find out which is the hot leg like Milt said. Then jsut jump the wire to see if the light goes on. If so, then hot up the traveler and see if anything happens at the other end. Depending how it is wired, no need to get fancy just a simple test light will almost do. Its a process of elimination. 3 ways wiring isn't too bad to trace once you have an understanding where the power is coming from.

And FFS I already said I changed BOTH switches for known good 3-ways.
