At car shows I let kids sit in my 911 if their shoes are clean, and the kid's clothes are clean.
Lots of big grins.
I finished mowing, and was enjoying one of the boss's cold beers and a buddy in the PCA region with a SC said he was seeing some unusual smoke from the bottom of the engine. I offerd to put it up on my life and he said I will be there in 40 minutes.
So we got it on the lift, and it was the first time he had ever been really under the car. He has owned it nearly 20 years and it has 220,000 miles on the car. The engine has never been rebuilt.
It has lots of oil leaks. Nothing severe and he should be good to go to the Birmingham Parade in two weeks. I suggested he look into a engine reseal which means drop the engine and transmission and replace all the leaky seals. I suspect the triangle of death is the biggest source, but after all those years and miles, it is time for some new seals. And maybe a new clutch kit "while they are in there".
I think it might be time for a shower.
