Lot of great recommendations on this thread but it really comes down to what you like to do.
For me the British Museum was a high point of my few days in London. Climbing the O2 was fun but not as exciting as I thought it would be. The India (restaurant) was as good as the British Museum if not better. Wish I could have gone to Borough Market.
