one of my exoto cars was missing one of its intake trumpet screens so i made one using a pressure washer intake hose screen. It has a nice fine mesh that matched perfectly. I just bent it over the dull end of a drill bit and squiched it with pliers till it was rounded and the tail fit in the hole. Elmers glued it in.
