One of my monthly accounts has some hedges that are getting a little old. I planted them 10 years ago when I did the landscaping. In particular the 'Trinette' Scheffleras, of which there are 4 separate hedge groupings...2 in back and 2 in front.
I cleared it with the owner to cut them way back and this morning did the first grouping (5 plants). My approach was to use my handheld Kebtec cordless pruners. Took just under 1 hour including hauling the cut branches to the curb for pickup tomorrow. I also filled two 30 gallon pots with small pieces.
I will continue to cut the others down, timing the work with each week's yard waste pickup day (Wed. here).
These Kebtecs are NICE!
