Something I don't understand:
Back in my day, we (I) did lots of burn-outs,
exceeded speed limits on occasion,
and possibly even participated in competitive
acceleration tests and exhibitions of speed.
But I never wrecked a car because of it.
I never hit anyone, I never made the news.
And neither did any of my friends.
Why?
Were we so much better at car control?
Or did we still have a little sparkle of something
in the back of our brains called common sense that told us
not to to over that line, don't push it, don't be an idiot.
Something that is becoming more and more rare in today's
youth society where idiots are idolized instead of ridiculed.
