Woah, that was an interesting dream and not in a good way
It started as the standard “unprepared” dream. Sometimes these have you giving a presentation and realizing you’re not wearing any pants, etc. In my case, I’m standing in a courtroom and the judge is asking me what witness I’m going to call and I’m staring at a file I’ve never seen before and I have no witnesses and don’t even know what the case is. Ok, standard enough. But this time the dream won’t let me go i.e. wake up. I stand there, the increasingly irritated judge repeating the question, opposing counsel watching in amazement, the jury looking puzzled. This goes on, while I frantically hunt through the file and struggle to figure out what is going on. Finally I have to ask the judge for a recess, tell him I’m suffering some sort of mental episode, and beg him for a continuance until the next day. He’s is furious but trying to not blow up, opposing counsel is sympathetic and delighted. When I leave the jury is all there whispering and pointing. The dream still won’t let me go. I go back to the office and there is no other file on the case, and goes from there. I end up breaking into the courtroom looking for the court file. Then I finally woke up. Not fun.
