Front/timing chain cover oil leaks. This used to be a 10k expense and was a problem on many macans, Porsche released a TSB that tells you how to fix the leaks with the engine in place, and just replacing the top aluminum bolts that shear. 2nd this. Not sure if it’s still a problem, but my wife’s ‘14 Cayenne went through, I think, 4 transfer cases in about 110k if I recall. Thankfully, all covered by Porsche. We’ve since sold it, but it was a phenomenal vehicle other than that issue. I know you are asking about Macan, but I think they had the same issues with TC. The only good news is that the problem would not strand you - you would just feel a “bucking” when accelerating.
