I had to jump back into the way back machine to think about that: I can't remember during squadron tours in San Diego if we ever chained the helo's
Flying tours in Pax River, sort of; the Sikorsky factory, sort of as well...all weather related and not as a routine in normal weather.
A friend of mine's son was there and we are going to chat tomorrow...the Squadron Duty Officer (SDO), which rotates daily, according to my friend, got puree'd.
I just got off the phone with the Aircraft Commander, a former Marine, of this 53E when I took this picture in Colorado. I had to pee.
