In these parts, we get Dungeness Crab, a huge variety of oysters, and some incredible King Salmon. But the North American lobster has never survived the Pacific coast despite being introduced several times from the late 1800s even up to the 1980s. The San Juan Islands in Puget Sound seem ideal given roughly the same latitude as Maine. But no luck. They just don't like it here.

And as a result, I don't think I've ever seen a $10/lb. lobster other than a trip to Montauk in the 90s. We get frozen Australian tails (which are giant by the way) for roughly the same price as Maine lobster.
