I've been speaking with a lot of folks who have purchased carbon fiber parts (from others) and have shared the issues they had. Apparently a lot of the stuff out there that is being passed off as carbon fiber is not 100% carbon fiber. You only have issues like fraying or cracking or fuzzy edges when fiberglass is used as an internal layer, basically carbon fiber covered fiberglass. We don't do that. 100% carbon fiber using the correct number of layers to achieve the thickness required for the part to fit properly and have the correct strength and flexibility/rigidity for the application.
Here is an example of the attention to detail. Notice the weave pattern on the shroud and on the air block off plate. This set was custom, these are the capabilities.
