This video has complete overhead footage of the sprint. I hadn’t noticed how far back Alpecin were with a couple km to go, and I guess having to come up up from so far back cost energy, maybe more than they saved by hanging back there for so long. I also hadn’t noticed that Phillipsen contested the intermediate sprint, although it makes sense he’s going for the green jersey.
