We went to the Long Beach Comic Book Convention put on by Wizard World magazine - it was a zoo. Lots of grown men dressed as Batman, Superman, Boba Fett and the Hulk; and of course the prerequisite scantily-clad vixen was part of the festivities. It just showed that, yes, there still is hope for our generation.
Anyway, two good reports:
The first report is for those of you have saved your old comic books, original production animation cels, and hand-signed artwork; if so, you're sitting on a gold mine. I saw nothing in Long Beach that has not gone up four or five times in value from last year at the San Diego Comic Book Convention.
Second good report: while in Long Beach, ground workers were feverously preparing the streets for the Long Beach Grand Prix. The fences were up and the seats in place. One could nearly hear the cars screaming down Shoreline Drive at 200 mph.
Yee Haw!
