I only receive emails on my home computer (I know, how primitive, right?). Clicking the drop down on any email address to reveal the real address behind it allows me to "block contact". I then flag the actual message as "junk". 100% effective every time. For texts on my phone it's as simple as "report spam" and "block contact". Again, 100% effective. Separating these means of communication in this manner seems to help. Texts are for more or less immediate communication, email for more detailed, "official", or whatever.
