Dang that is crazy.
My dad needed a new hood badge for his '01 330ci, he has a newer X5 so takes them both to the dealer. Fortunately the older one never gets driven so its for an annual oil change.
Needless to say I had him order the new badge from Pelican and I installed it last week when I was in VA.
