Having worked in "High End" Euro Collision for many years, I can promise you one thing, the statement often made "return your car to pre-accident condition" is a lie and never happens. Even when the repair shop has the best of intentions. It's only a Virgin once.

The closest thing you can get to new condition is a nut and bolt restoration by exceedingly competent and anal retentive repairers. Most of the time perfection is tempered by finance. And the skill level and concern of the person doing the repairs. Shiny paint is easy. Doing it correctly is not. And most aren't willing to pay for it.
