Thats only true if you use the standard american metric conversion of 1' == 1m.

Regina is 440' long. It was about 1/2 mile away but to my eyes it was cooking and a very small wake relative to its size. The 29kts was reported at the time from an ais tracking site and who knows if that is correct. But it was beautiful how it slipped through the water.

I think the ugly boat was a sunseeker 90 but it was tipped way back.

Twin 2600hp diesels so fuel consumption could have been even higher.

Looking at the pics there must be a real art to photographing these pigs. They don't look nearly so good in person, probably going a slightly wrong-er speed.
